What is PNP?

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP),

one of Canada’s immigration programs,

has different requirements for approval for

each of its 11 provinces.

The purpose of the PNP is to bolster the economy,

the workforce, and the industry of the state by

recruiting excellent foreign workers.

As a provincial government employment immigration,

you can qualify for permanent residence

without studying abroad through local work.

1. Manitoba Provincial Skilled Immigration

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream – Manitoba Work Experience Pathway

👉 The Manitoba Work Experience Pathway is for applicants who are not currently working in any of the occupations listed in In-demand Occupations, including applicants who currently have a temporary work permit in the state of Manitoba (temporary foreign workers, graduates from other states or international students from Manitoba).

Requirements

Work permit holder or international student 

        – If you graduate in Manitoba, you will work for at least 6 months in the Manitoba In-demand Occupations field (regardless of your major. 

If you are an international student and have graduated from another province, work for at least 12 months in the Manitoba In-demand Occupations list (regardless of major)

Holder of a work visa 

       – Manitoba In-demand Occupations list Those who have worked for at least 12 months and have received an LMIA or have a work permit  exempt             from LMIA

For international students 

      – Work in Manitoba for at least 12 months if the occupation is not on the Manitoba In-demand Occupations list

Work experience

Must reside within Manitoba at the time of application submission

Applicants must receive a Full-Time Job Offer as a full-time employee that meets the Manitoba recruitment and salary standards

Applicant’s working conditions must be the same as other Canadian citizens or permanent residents

Applicant’s work type must not be telecommuting, part-time, non-regular workers, seasonal jobs, or receiving commissions.

Adaptability

Applicants must prove that they intend to reside in Manitoba

Must meet qualifications and also have MPNP qualification

Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream – Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway

👉 The Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway is open to applicants from the province of Manitoba, who have been interviewed outside Canada with a qualified employer and received an invitation to apply from the provincial government.

Work experience

A person who has worked for at least 2 of the last 5 years as an employed job or has been recognized by the employer for other relevant work experience

A person who has worked for 3 years or more with relevant experience and is recognized by the employer

Employment-related details

Must have a long-term, full-time job offer that meets Manitoba’s employment and wage standards

Employer must be a business registered and operated in Manitoba for at least 3 years

Working conditions must be consistent with those of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, not eligible for telecommuting, part-time, daily, seasonal, or commission-based work

Language proficiency

Minimum CLB/NCLC 7 for Regulated Occupations

Minimum CLB/NCLC 6 for Compulsory Trades

Minimum CLB/NCLC 5 for all other NOC 0, A, or B occupations

Adaptability

All applicants must demonstrate the ability and willingness to reside in Manitoba

21-45 years old

In addition to meeting the qualifications, you must also have MPNP qualification

Education related

👉 Must have received university education and training related to the occupational group employed by the employer. (or both)

👉 If you are working in a profession that requires a license or certificate, you must have a license or pass an exam. (or both)

👉 For NOC level C or D occupations, Manitoba reserves the right to select applicants without university education in accordance with the requirements of the employer and as explained by the NOC.

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream – Manitoba Express Entry Pathway

Express Entry

Agree to the Express Entry pool by providing a valid Express Entry ID and valid Job Seeker Code

Career

👉 At least 6 months of work experience in an occupation on the In-demand Occupation list

Age

👉 At least 18 years of age at the time of application

Language proficiency

Minimum official language proficiency depends on your assessed NOC

– For NOC 0 or A, minimum CLB/NCLC 7

– For NOC B, minimum CLB/NCLC6

Education

In the case of a position that requires a certificate or qualification, you must apply to the relevant institution and undergo qualification and technical examination or pass an examination

Must have completed at least one year of high school program (same as Canadian)

Adaptability

Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to be economically established and reside in Manitoba

Applicants must have validated support from close friends or family residing in Manitoba for at least one year or must have a valid invitation for the application issued by the MPNP

Settlement funds

Proof of working capital eligible for Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) for Independent Financial Assistance for 6 months

Skilled Worker Overseas Stream – Human Capital Pathway

Work experience

👉 For the purpose of obtaining EOI, the published experience and evaluation scores must be full-time and must have worked for at least 6 months. (Experience less than 1 year is treated as 0 points)

👉 At least 6 months of work experience in an occupation on the In-demand Occupation list

👉 Must have a job plan

Language proficiency

Minimum official language proficiency depends on your assessed NOC

– For occupations requiring association registration, at least CLB/NCLC 7

– Minimum CLB/NCLC 6 for occupations with compulsory qualifications

– Minimum CLB/NCLC5 for all other NOC 0, A or B occupations

Education

Must have completed at least one higher education program for at least one year (same as Canadian)

For positions that require a certificate or certification, you must apply to the appropriate institution for a qualification and skills assessment or pass an exam.

Adaptability

Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to be economically established and reside in Manitoba

Applicants must have validated support from close friends or family residing in Manitoba for at least one year or must have a valid invitation for the application issued by the MPNP

2. Manitoba Provincial Business Immigration

👉 MPNP is a program aimed at business investment, and there are two business investment methods.
